EAST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
The East Northamptonshire district covers the north east part of Northamptonshire. The primary towns and villages are Rushden, Higham Ferrers, Raunds Woodford and Thrapston in the south, Deene, Brigstock, Oundle, Kings Cliff and Easton on the Hill in the north.

From a riding perspective the area is well served with long public bridleways and quiet country lanes that form useful circuits. Areas worth riding are around Nassington, Apethorpe and Kings Cliff. There are also a number of bridleways within Rockingham Forest, which is also close by.

The main roads to get around the area are the A46, A47, A427, A605 and A6116. We suggest that to get the most out of the area, you purchase the following Ordnance Survey Explorer maps: 224 and 227, to use in conjunction with our routes.
