GEDLING
The borough of Gedling is located north of the City of Nottingham. The primary towns and villages in the area are Carlton in the south, Arnold in the west, Calverton in the east and Ravenshead in the north.

From a riding perspective most of the public bridleways and quiet country roads are located in the north of the borough on the edge of Sherwood Forest. Gedling Borough council also promote Bestwood Country Park and Colwick Country parks as places that have riding trails, these are managed by Nottinghamshire County Council.

The main roads to get around the area are the A60, A612 and A6097. We suggest that to get the most out of the area, you purchase Ordnance Survey Explorer map 270 to use in conjunction with our routes.
