SOUTH DERBYSHIRE
The most southerly of the districts that make up Derbyshire. This area is largely the area south of Derby. The primary towns and villages in the area are Netherseal and Swadlincote in the south, Melbourne to the east, and Hilton and Findern to the north.

The area has a number of bridleways and also the Cloud Trail between Worthington and Kings Newton, near Melbourne.

As of April 2005, bridleways and other rights of ways in this area are managed by South Derbyshire District Council.

We suggest that to get the most out of the area, you purchase the following Ordnance Survey Explorer maps: 245 and 259 to use in conjunction with our routes.
