| LINCOLNSHIRE |
The County of Lincolnshire makes up the north and eastern part of the East Midlands and is the largest county in the region. The principle towns in the county are Grantham, Spalding and Boston in the south, Lincoln and Gainsborough in the west, Horncastle, Skegness and Mablethorpe in the east and Scunthorpe and Grimsby in the north.
Lincolnshire County Council recognise that the public bridleways and byway network in Lincolnshire is very fragmented, consequently a consultation has been ongoing between 2005 and 2007.
The main roads to get around the area are the A15, A16, A17, A46, A153 and A156. We suggest that to get the most out of the area, you purchase the following Ordnance Survey Explorer maps 234, 235, 247 to 249, 271 to 274 and 280 to 284 to use in conjunction with our routes.
