In the north of the county is Biddulph, Leek, Stoke and Newcastle under Lyme. Centrally located are Stafford, Stone, Uttoxeter and Burton on Trent.
From a riding perspective the best areas are towards the Peak District, particularly the Manifold Valley. There are also some nice riding areas around Church Eaton in the south west of the county. The area is well served by a network of roads and motorways, allowing easy access to most areas within the county.
